New Blog and Pumpkins

I have a new blog where I am attempting to keep up with some of my lesson plans. It is sketchy at best right now because I am trying to fill in from the beginning of the year to now, but I hope that eventually it will be a good resource for information on the units I have done. Check it out if you think it would interest/help you. The link is under Lesson Plans Blog to the right there.

Saturday Charles and I got to go on a day date. It was very nice...Books A Mill, Starb*cks, W*l-M**t, Olive G*rd*n, etc. It was lovely. We picked up some fun pumpkin shaped cookies to bake with the kids (and Sue) when we got home and we read some of our favorite October books. Let's Shine Jesus' Light on Halloween and Pumpkin Patch Parable by Liz Curtis Higgs. We also read Pumpkin Hill by Elizabeth Spurr and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat. Can you believe there are NO pictures from Saturday??? I also haven't loaded the pictures from the pencil awards (6 weeks awards) last Friday, but I will try to do that today.

Kaitlin got all A's and won 5 reading awards this 6 weeks. Waita Go Kataroo! We are so very proud. Her birthday is Wednesday (the big 07!) and her party is Saturday. My parents will be coming down this weekend. I have quite a bit of party stuff and housework to do along with the regular work and school stuff this week, so I will be a busy bee.

By the way - Go Lady Hammers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love you and you are awesome!!!!!!! Go Fight Win tomorrow! We'll be rootin' for ya!
